Day 1 – Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization & Local Sightseeing
Arrive at Leh Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, spend the morning relaxing and acclimatizing to the high altitude (3,500 meters), which is essential for a comfortable stay in Ladakh.
In the evening, begin your exploration of Leh with visits to:
- Shanti Stupa – A magnificent white-domed Buddhist stupa offering spectacular panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.
- Leh Palace – A 17th-century royal palace showcasing Ladakh’s rich heritage and stunning rooftop views of the city.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.
Day 2 – Sham Valley Excursion
Distance: 30 km (One Way) | Drive Time: Approximately 2 Hours
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Indus River on the Leh–Kargil Highway. Explore some of Ladakh’s most famous attractions:
- Hall of Fame Museum – A tribute to the bravery of Indian Army soldiers featuring war memorabilia, historical exhibits, and inspiring stories.
- Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A revered Sikh shrine dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
- Magnetic Hill – Experience the fascinating optical illusion that appears to defy gravity.
- Indus–Zanskar Sangam – Witness the spectacular confluence where the emerald-green Indus River meets the deep-blue Zanskar River.
Return to Leh in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Distance: 120 km | Drive Time: 4–5 Hours
After breakfast, journey towards the enchanting Nubra Valley via the legendary Khardung La Pass (18,390 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads.
Enjoy breathtaking mountain vistas as you descend into the beautiful Valley of Flowers, nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or luxury camp in Hunder. Spend the evening exploring nearby villages and experiencing the peaceful lifestyle of the local Ladakhi community.
Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 4 – Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley
Distance: 150 km | Drive Time: Approximately 5 Hours
After breakfast, continue your adventure towards the world-famous Pangong Lake.
Highlights of the journey include:
- Hunder Sand Dunes – Optional ride on the famous double-humped Bactrian camels.
- Diskit Village – Visit the vibrant local market and experience authentic Ladakhi culture.
- Scenic drive through the beautiful Shyok Valley, surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes.
Arrive at the mesmerizing Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 4,267 meters (14,000 ft). The lake’s ever-changing shades of blue create one of the most unforgettable sights in Ladakh.

Day 5 – Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass
Distance: 140 km | Drive Time: Approximately 6 Hours
Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over Pangong Lake before beginning your return journey to Leh via the scenic Chang La Pass (5,486 meters).
En route, visit:
- Hemis Monastery – The largest and one of the most important monasteries in Ladakh.
- Thiksey Monastery – A stunning hilltop monastery often compared to the Potala Palace of Tibet.
- Shey Palace – The former royal residence of Ladakh’s kings.
- Rancho School (Druk White Lotus School) – Famous for its appearance in the Bollywood movie 3 Idiots.
Arrive in Leh by evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 6 – Departure from Leh
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
